Uhasibu Launches Payroll.co.ke – Kenya’s First Fully Integrated Payroll System

A business in Kenya typically has to provide monthly reports to at least five (5) different government agencies and more in some industries when it comes to payroll. All these agencies; KRA, NHIF, NSSF, NITA, HELB, have their own individual reporting format, their own offices, processes and timelines on how these reports should be returned. In addition, many businesses in Kenya utilise an array of workers – full-time employees, consultants, casual labourers etc, with each group requiring a different paper-trail that has to be submitted in order for the company to confidently say that they are following the rules and regulations.

Payroll.co.ke, Uhasibu’s newest innovation has been launched with a view to simplify payroll management in Kenya for businesses. Its a payroll management system built specifically for Kenya’s payroll rules and regulations. Unlike traditional payroll systems, Payroll.co.ke digitally manages and provides all the required paperwork for every type of worker a business can employ; it is integrated with the local stakeholders e.g., KRA’s iTax system, NHIF online submission and so on, allowing the system to automatically do the return directly without the business owner or accountant having to learn or fully understand the individual processes. This direct integration is extremely innovative in Kenya, an environment where many organisations are digitising their business processes.
