Something amazing is afoot! I am not sure when it started but its certainly gone viral by the time I am writing about it. Its exciting, hilarious and even serious stuff, all at the same time. What am I talking about? Unless you’ve been offline for the better part of two weeks its Kenya’s first viral Internet sensation, and his name is Makmende! Yes. Makmende is something to smile about! He is Kenya’s first super hero and boy does he rock! He lives more or less online and a look at his web site www.makmende.com will certainly crack you up! Until last week, I had never heard of the now famous Makmende. A detailed “expose” on Makmende can be found on the popular Archer blog here> Whatever the case is, Kenya has its first viral Internet hit – the man, the super hero, Makmende! Check out this cool Makmende video below:

This is a true show that young Kenyans got lot’s of talent!!!
I am actually waiting to see how this pans out. It is definitely Kenya’s first internet sensation given the way Kenyan bloggers have taken to it. I am interested on how this will reflect in the sales for JAB albums and would make for an interesting case study as far as leveraging social media for business ends goes.
Marvoh Marvoh MArvoh!
Makmende dates back to the ’80′s. If you went to school in Nairobi you remember us spending lots of time talking about Makmende. Actually in sheng in those early days Makmende meant super hero.
i was wondering if you would talk about it…and im glad you did. JAB are one of the most creative artists in the market, and Jim Chuchu himself is on a very different level. its great stuff! im excited for them, and i hope the sales for this album wil reflect the level of work they have put in.

I like the video because its a break from the usual girls dancing inside a popular joint.
JAB are the future superstars. Support their new recording at http://www.africaunsigned.com/justaband
I insist, makmende is a woman! Nice on tho’ the hits tell the tale.
Buhahaha, I could watch this every other day…..hilarious indeed. So, who’s makmende again??
This is cool and creative stuff
